Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator(SERM)

Why SERM?

• In both men and women, SERM binds to receptors in the brain to increase the production of follicle stimulating hormone, FSH, and luteinizing hormone, LH.
• LH encourages the release of testosterone in males. FSH is important in the first stage of sperm production, or spermatogenesis.
• Increasing the level of these hormones in the body can lead to an increase in testosterone and the creation of more sperm.

Indications in Men’s ReproductiveHealth:

• In Men, it can help improve low testosterone levels especially if the Luteinizing hormone levels are low or borderline low. In doing so, some men might benefit from better libido and stronger erections.

Contra-indications (Cannot Be Used In):

You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to it, or if you have:

• Allergy to SERM
• Past or present liver disease.
• A tumor of your pituitary gland.
• An untreated or uncontrolled problem with your thyroid or adrenal gland.

Side Effect:

SERMs can cause side effects in some people. These can include:

• Headache.
• Nausea and Vomiting.
• Problems with vision.
• Dizziness.
• Stomach pain or discomfort.
• Mouth ulcers.
• Cataracts.
